Because we only use natural ingredients, there are no chemical preservatives to keep the bar rock solid as it's sitting in a puddle of water. 
Instead of relenting and finding a preservative to use, we thought why not add a beautiful conversation piece to your sink?
Introducing, the Glaistig Cedar Soap Deck!
Not only will it beautifully display your soap, but the channels will allow water to run off and prevent your soap from softening. 
It's the perfect pairing of style and function and the perfect compliment to your Glaistig handmade soap.
To make the deck we used Cedar because it contains oils that act as a natural preservative to help the wood resist rot and decay.
 In addition to being rot resistant Cedar is also bacterial and fungal resistant. 
We sealed each deck with a very light coat of mineral oil, to help bring out the grain and color of the wood, as well as give it one more layer of protection. 
The decks are 2 5/8 inches wide, 4 inches long and 1/2 inch high

 Made from 100% Untreated Cedar wood. 
Just like every tree, leaf and flower is different, each soap deck is totally unique. 
The grain color and pattern vary, we hope you appreciate this as much as we do.
